Church Educators (SCRAPCE) invites applications for scholarship funds to
facilitate attendance at the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators 2009
Annual Event in San Antonio, Texas, January 28-31, 2009.

POLITY, PROGRAM AND MISSION COURSE a Success |
|
The first week
of August 2008,the Presbyterian Mission Center and the Synod of the Sun welcomed
eight educators as they spent five days together learning about the polity of
the PCUSA and its Mission. The educators came from as far away as Florida and
also represented the presbyteries of South Louisiana, Grace and New Covenant.

A
very special treat during our week together was a visit and presentation by
Carol Adcock, Moderator of the General Assembly Council and Rev. Jon Brown,
Director of Mission Interpretation, Communications and Funds Development for
the PCUSA. The class was taught by the Rev. Dr. Elizabeth J. Pense, Stated
Clerk of the Synod of the Sun and Julia A. Boyce, Director of Educational
Support, Grace Presbytery.
