The South Central
Region of the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators (SCRAPCE) invites
applications for scholarship funds to facilitate attendance at the Association
of Presbyterian Church Educators 2009 Annual Event in San Antonio, Texas,

Thanks to generous funding of a grant by the Synod of the Sun,
recognizing partnership among SCRAPE, APCE, and the synod, scholarships in
the amount of $225 each will be awarded to two persons in each of the 11
presbyteries in the synod, for a total of 22 scholarships.
Volunteer Christian educators and professional educators with
little or no continuing education funds are especially invited to apply, as are
pastors, and preference will be given to first-time Annual Event attendees.
Applications are due October 31, 2008, and recipients, to
be chosen by a committee of the SCRAPCE governing cabinet, will be notified by
